I really enjoy listening to voice recordings of people. There’s something…comforting? titillating? about listening to someone speak without the added pressure of forming a response. It’s nice to picture a setting in which the person was talking and what their words and inflections may reveal about them…uninterrupted, without scrutiny on your person. If this is what journalism is like…well, then perhaps I should have done that.
